So your Motorola DCT 6412 has 2 tuners… It’s supposed to allow you to watch a channel while recording another.

But how do you change the tuner you are using?

Following is a small trick that allow just that by programming a SWAP button on your remote.
1. Press the “Cable” button once on your remote
2. Press and Hold the “Setup” button until the “Cable” buttons blinks twice
3. Enter the code 994 (the “Cable” button will blink twice)
4. Press the “Setup” button once
5. Enter the code 00236
5. Press the button that you want to use as the SWAP button

Well you can easily program that feature on your DCT-6412 by doing the following:

5. Enter the code 00173
5. Press the button that you want to use to skip 30 seconds feature
